In bulk mode the controller is in MPPT mode. In absorb and float it is not in MPPT mode. If it is not in MPPT mode, does that mean it is n PWM mode? It is still p ower p oint t racking, it just isn't selecting the maximum anymore. It is selecting the power point that matches demand.
Is there a rule for mixing different size panels to connect to an mppt charge controller? I have a set of 24V panels. (6) are 320 watt and (2) is 370watt.
In regards to the output of a Solar Panel Array versus the output of a MPPT charge controller connected to the array, I have a couple questions about using the adequate gauge wire.
Two MPPT controllers serving one battery bank James Solar Expert Posts: 250 April 2015 #1 Hello folks, I realized I had my question here posted in an incorrect sub topic forum, so, I'll set it here; I'm wondering if there are any issues I should be aware of when connecting two MPPT controllers to one battery bank.
Trying to understand how to best/properly determine the correct cable/wire size to use between two 440 Watt Solar Panels and an MPPT Charge Controller. The distance between the panels and the charge controller will be between 60 and 100 feet.
Re: MPPT charge controllers vs PWM for very small systems? bmet; it was singleprop who has the 1,000 Amp hour battery bank and 140 Watts of panel being referred to (post #29).
My Controller stopped working suddenly. SO I ordered a MPPT 60A Charge COntroller off ebay called Y-SOLAR. It is a little heavier and the cover is metal. (Seems like things are going work better and last longer now) I got it and hooked it up. The new controller goes to work immediately-charging LED is blinking. We resumed using the solar like ...
