Smocking Stitch (Knitting)

Dear knitting friends, this is my way to knit the smoke -or smoking- stitch. Let me know if you knit it same way or differently: For a smoke stitch worked on 6sts I cast on a number of sts multiple of 8. I work 4 rows in *2k, 2p* rib. The 5th row is the Smoke stitch row: *Insert the needle between the 6th and the 7th stitch on LH needle and draw up a loop; keeping loop fairly snug, place it on LH needle. k2tog (working the picked-up loop together with the first st on LH needle), k1, p2, k2, p2*.
