One of the dominant sounds in Iceland at the moment is the song of the Redwing (Turdus iliacus - Skógarþröstur) - you can hear it pretty much morning, noon and night anywhere where there are trees. This video was taken yesterday in Fossvogur cemetery in Reykjavík where Redwing is a very common breeding bird. Very wintry conditions across Iceland at the moment so it seems only fitting that a visitor from the far north puts in an appearance. This curious Bearded Seal (Erignathus barbatus - Kampselur) was in the harbour at Húsavík (NE) today, video by Yann.
