The osprey is a common bird across much of the world, but rather rare in Iceland. Sigurjón Einarsson, amateur photographer and naturalist, says that around forty of the birds have been seen here. He took this video of the bird at Akrafjall on Friday, where the osprey had stayed and hunted fish from ponds. The species lives exclusively on fish and is sometimes called a fish eagle, though it is not of the eagle family. | RÚV English
