In New York City, the MTA is installing “anti-subway surfing barriers” in between cars on the No. 7 line to prevent the dangerous trend of riding on top of trains, a practice linked to at least 5 deaths and 4 injuries this year. Flooding causes subway delays in NYC

Floodwater poured inside a Brooklyn subway station and formed a waterfall as deadly flash flooding hit New York City on Thursday. Multiple stations experienced delays and cancelations over the heavy rainfall, the MTA said. Thursday's rain led to deadly flooding in parts of in the city as it broke records and caused damage.
