Several years ago I planted bulbs and corms in these pots from @flowerpeople_co & @mamalanasflowers Then after they were done blooming in the spring I cut back the foliage and planted summer blooming perennials like dahlias, chrysanthemums and even a few zinnias right over the top of the bulbs and corms. Now every year the spring flowers come back and then the summer flowers start growing amidst the bulbs. It's the laziest kind of garden and I Love it. The only thing I have to do is to remember

Here's what I started this month in our DIY greenhouse here in the PNW, zone 8b/9a - bachelor buttons (they sprouted so fast!) - scabiosa, fata morgana - sweet pea flowers (these needed 5 days in our living room, then once I saw the tips peeking out from the soil I moved them to the greenhouse) We covered our frame with 3.5 mil plastic sheeting, stapled it to the frame and now it's growing all sorts of goodness in the heart of 30 degree nights. This is the secret to making sourdough less confusing, let the scale do the work! The only thing I keep track of is how much starter I put into the bowl and what I fed it. If you don't feel like you'll be able to remember, write a little sticky note and stick it to the side of the bowl.
