Seeing footage of a few autograss cars taking part at Lydden Hill this weekend made me go back and look for some older Blyton Rallycross footage. Another alternative meeting set up by my dad, the event ran for 10 years with this race being the last one to be run. Unfortunately this layout no longer exists. I havent have time to record a Races to Remember episode but thought i would share one here which certainly makes the cut. Ive commentated on thousands of races and this still ranks as one of my favourites. The Men's Class 1 Final from the 2013 Scunny BAS Round. This was the final race of the Class 1 series and a few drivers were in contention and each of them led this for a moment. 1998 Fastest Saloon in Grass Sturton begin their season this weekend but I always enjoy looking back at videos from the Showground days. Definitely up there as one of the best tracks and venues ever used in the sport and I think it could have been an incredible nationals venue if regular tracks were allowed back then.
