The atmosphere in Washington DC ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration is “nervous and fearful,” according to talkRADIO reporter John Pienaar. Speaking with Mike Graham, he said: “I turned up and went to downtown DC with my notebook in one hand, my recording microphone in the other and my bulletproof vest on.” Mr Biden will be sworn in as the 46th US president at around midday on Wednesday, with security intensifying around the ceremony.
