Over the weekend of 1 and 2 of February, audiences at the Pavilion Arts Centre were treated to a magical mystery tour of the Peak District via ‘One Night in Buxton’, a play with music, courtesy of local writer and composer, Clare O’Neill.

Jan 3, 2025 · Guests at the Buxton Crescent Ensana hotel who had paid hundreds of pounds to bring in the New Year in style were sent home after a water problem affected the whole hotel.

Aug 15, 2024 · The museum on Terrace Road was temporarily closed in June 2023 after dry rot was discovered in the building and, almost a a year later, Derbyshire County Council (DCC) announced it was putting the building up for sale. More than 2,000 people have now signed a petition to keep the museum in the town.
