NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- For a second week in a row, severe weather sparked flash flood warnings and even a tornado warning as storms drenched parts of the Tri-State area on Monday night.

Acting New Jersey Gov. Tahesha Way declared that a State of Emergency will go into effect in preparation for potential flash flooding, severe storms, intense rainfall and damaging wind gusts.

The order went into effect at 2 p.m. today as officials anticipate flooding, dangerous surf and high winds across the state.
