The number of confirmed deaths from the Texas Hill Country floods rose to 95 in Kerr County on Wednesday, Sheriff Larry Leitha said.

Over 100 people have died after heavy rain pounded Kerr County, Texas, early Friday, leading to "catastrophic" flooding, the sheriff said.

At least 95 people — including 36 children — have been confirmed dead in Kerr County, visibly emotional Texas officials announced in a grim update Wednesday. Of those who died, 59 are adults and 36 are children.
