Kevin Braswell, a Baltimore-born basketballer who played for the Georgetown Hoyas before enjoying a well-traveled professional career that took him to New Zealand, has died. He was 46.

Breakers player and coach Kevin Braswell has died at the age of 46. The team confirmed his death in Japan overnight on their Facebook page. Braswell, who was born in Baltimore, underwent emergency heart surgery last month. He joined the Breakers in 2010 and also played for Southland and Saints in the National Basketball League.
