With James Gunn's Superman re-establishing the universe of DC, we're looking back at all the locations that helped in grounding an alien story in real human places.
The new film, starring David Corenswet as Superman, is intended to kick off a new epoch for DC Studios, which has struggled in recent years to produce consistent superhero hits.
During post-production on Superman, writer-director James Gunn ran into a problem. “We found that people loved the movie but that they were confused about the world they were entering,” Gunn told io9 recently. And so, to fix that problem, late in the filmmaking process, he looked to another one of his favorite films for the fix.
Speaking with GQ, Corenswet says he was very committed to trying to make James Gunn’s vision for Superman come true.
