On Saturday at 1:59 p.m. a flood watch was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC valid for Sunday between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. The watch is for Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde, Northern Outer Banks, Ocracoke Island and Hatteras Island as well as Tyrrell and Beaufort counties.
