Mantle, in the entire 1961 season, set the switch-hitter record for multi-homer games with eight for the entire campaign. So yes, Raleigh has tied that incredible Mantle mark while not even halfway through July. Raleigh is up to 38 homers and 81 RBI in all, a combination that has never happened before in MLB history prior to the All-Star Game.
