APA hands over keys to county for Olivette animal shelter
APA turned over the keys to St. Louis County for its Olivette animal shelter Friday. APA officials said they had a very busy week when preparing for the end of operations at the Olivette location.
St. Louis County said there was no euthanasia plan at shelter. But there was.
A health department staffer did write such a transition plan, according to records obtained by the Post-Dispatch. The plan calls for "shelter wide" euthanasia.
