Alphabet’s Waymo is recalling 1,212 self-driving vehicles to update software that failed to prevent collisions with roadway barriers such as gates and chains, according to a report filed with U.S. regulators.

Documents indicate the autonomous vehicle company, a subsidiary of Alphabet, recalled 1,212 of its self-driving creations in 2024. Its latest software has addressed the issue, the company said.
