A dangerous tornado threat is unfolding today, as severe storms target major cities like Tulsa, Wichita, Kansas City, Omaha, Little Rock and Dallas, bringing the risk of damaging winds, large hail and strong tornadoes.

"Severe thunderstorms capable of all severe hazards remain possible this evening across portions of the central and southern Plains," a forecast from the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center (SPC) said. "Several strong to intense tornadoes are possible," it added.
Millions of people in the Midwest and Great Plains are in the path of numerous severe thunderstorms expected on Monday. Kansas City is expecting winds up to 50 MPH and half-dollar-sized hail that could damage roofs or cars.
On Friday night and into Saturday morning, tornadoes ripped through southern/southeastern Kentucky. Nearly 20 people from the Bluegrass have been confirmed dead, a number that could grow even higher over the coming days.
