Officials say an Army sergeant accused of shooting five people at a Georgia base last summer is seeking to plead guilty to attempted murder and other charges in a military court.

Investigators say DNA evidence linked the Rockdale County man to multiple sexual assaults over nearly two decades, with his youngest victim being just 16 years old.

Officials are investigating after a man was found unresponsive on Wednesday in his cell at the Troup County Jail.

Shannon Box, a Wilkes County man who pleaded guilty to killing three people in December 2024, has been sentenced, according to the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
