I grew up in Kalispell, Montana, about 40 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. After visiting the park, I recommend visiting Flathead Lake or Whitefish Mountain Resort.

If you’re flying in, the quickest access to Glacier is via Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell, a 40-minute drive to West Glacier via U.S. Highway 2.

Going-to-the-Sun Road is a highlight of Glacier National Park, but while roads at the bottom of the park are nearly dry, up top near Logan Pass is still buried in multiple feet of snow.
