North Korea has accused South Korea of conducting a "deliberate provocation aimed at military conflict" after Seoul confirmed its soldiers fired ten warning shots toward North Korean troops it claimed had crossed the demarcation line between the two countries on Tuesday.

The newly-tested air-defense missiles "are very suitable for destroying various aerial targets," North Korean state media reported.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has supervised the test-firing of two types of new anti-air missiles, state media reports, displaying his expanding military capabilities as South Korea and the U.S. carry out joint military drills.
