Kenya is committed to co-hosting the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) next year despite concerns about its preparedness for the competition, which begins on 1 February.

Kenya will use two multi-purpose venues in Nairobi for CHAN; the 60,000-capacity Kasarani Stadium and the 22,000-seater Nyayo National Stadium.

The decision was agreed upon on Monday, October 9, 2023, with the government hoping to use the Chan to prepare for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
