Before the Indiana Fever faced the Chicago Sky for the second time this 2025 WNBA season on June 7, Chloe Peterson of IndyStar made an X post that read, "BREAKING: Stephanie White will miss Indiana's game in Chicago at the United Center tonight,

Stephanie White has known Austin Kelly dating back to the 2012 Fever title team. There's no one else she'd hand the reins to while she's away from the team.

"Head coach Steph White won't be at the Fever's game against the Chicago Sky on Saturday night, a team spokesperson confirmed to IndyStar on Saturday morning," Chloe Peterson reported. "White was not with the team on Friday during practice because of personal reasons, and her status was previously to be determined for Saturday's game."
