Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announces that state authorities, working with the Department of Homeland Security, are conducting an immigration and law enforcement operation in Colony Ridge.

State troops are assisting DHS with an operation, the governor said in a post on X. "I have worked with Tom Homan on this for months:"

Gov. Gregg Abbott stated he'd been planning the immigration operation in Colony Ridge for months to target criminals and immigrants. Observers said some people who were stopped were on to their way to work.
