Gov. Gavin Newsom departed California on Tuesday to meet with President Donald Trump and members of Congress to discuss federal disaster aid following the devastating wildfires.

The U.S. military is working closely with the Department of Homeland Security to secure the southern border and reduce the number of illegal immigrants within U.S. borders.
