A Powerball player in Massachusetts won $1 million, just missing the $106 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, May 14, the Massachusetts Lottery site said. Another Massachusetts ticket matched four numbers drawn and the Powerball to win $50,000.

A $1 million prize and a $50,000 prize were won on separate Powerball tickets sold in Massachusetts for Wednesday’s drawing, according to lottery officials. The winning $1 million ticket was sold at Singha Liquors at 27 Market Street in Swansea.
