Super Bowl LIX is set for Feb. 9 in New Orleans, and we're counting down the days until the game takes place in the Caesars Superdome with a look back

Before the Caesars Superdome was built, New Orleans hosted three Super Bowl games in the city at Tulane Stadium. The stadium hosted the Super Bowl games in 1970, 1972, and 1974, for Super Bowl IV, VI, and IX. It was the first professional game ever played in the stadium.

The greater Miami area (Miami and Miami Gardens) has hosted 11 Super Bowls combined. The greater Los Angeles area (Los Angeles, Pasadena and Inglewood) has hosted eight and is in line to host No. 9 in 2027, in Inglewood. No other city has hosted the game more than five times.
