Paul George has been known to be one of the finest two-way wing players in the modern era. However, he recently shared how he believed that lockdown defenders had become a dying breed in the NBA due to the current rules.

George played in just 41 games throughout the 2024-25 campaign. He averaged 16.2 points per game to go along with 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.8 steals, while shooting 43% from the floor and 35.8% from 3-point range.

Paul George said the league's offensive talent today makes it nearly impossible for even the best defenders to consistently stop top scorers.
