Maryville University was aiming to build an eSports complex — including an arena, dormitory, retail, and parking garage — on the site of the strip mall near its Town and Country campus.
An esports tournament sold out at St. Louis University’s 10,600-seat Chaifetz Arena a few years ago, said Dan Clerke, Maryville’s director of esports.
