Adam Sheafe, 51, changed his plea from no contest at a Superior Court hearing. He is accused of killing a New River pastor, William Schonemann.

A Maricopa County grand jury indicted a man in the Nov. 12, 2024, sexual assault and murder of a man found near an apartment dumpster in Phoenix.

Authorities identified the man as 32-year-old Erik French. He has since been booked into Maricopa County jail on a count of disorderly conduct with a weapon.
