Coastal Carolina's baseball program is notorious for landing top talent under legendary head coach Gary Gilmore, who led the team to a College World Series title in 2016.

Coastal Carolina has an accomplished history in college baseball. Led by former coach Gary Gilmore, Coastal Carolina had 19 NCAA Regional appearances and three Super Regional berths.

First-year coach Kevin Schnall has left off where legendary coach Gary Gilmore left off, leading Coastal Carolina to 51 wins thus far in 2025. Gilmore led the Chanticleers to 1,114 wins.
