Rafael Devers continues to make headlines around Major League Baseball as he airs his frustrations, and David Ortiz made it clear how he feels about things.

The Boston Red Sox have dealt with plenty of drama around Rafael Devers during the 2025 MLB season. Devers, who refused to move off third base earlier this year to make room for Alex Bregman, eventually agreed to shift to designated hitter.

Winning cures all, and Devers’ performance (.285 batting average, .901 OPS, 152 OPS+, seven home runs) has been a major boost to this lineup. Yet, the Red Sox still need more from someone who should be the face of the franchise.
