Microsoft has launched its Azure Web Application Firewall, making it more difficult for cyber-attackers to attack applications hosted on the company’s Azure cloud computing platform.

A Web Application Firewall setting is listed for a standard application gateway. Clicking on the WAF setting causes Azure to display an option to upgrade to the WAF tier.

Microsoft has announced that the Web Application Firewall (WAF) bot protection feature has reached general availability on Azure on Application Gateway starting this week.
