President Donald Trump on Saturday announced the signing of a series of executive orders to impose tariffs on imports from Mexico, Canada, and China, and San Diego businesses say they are bracing for the impact.

Protesters gathered in downtown Los Angeles on 2 February in response to a recent increase in ICE raids and deportations under President Trump's immigration crackdown. Thousands of people carrying Mexican flags and placards marched to Los Angeles City Hall before walking onto and blocking the 101 Freeway.
