While their focus is on winning another Super Bowl, Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs already know that a key member of the organization won't be back for the 2025 NFL season.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has not overlooked the impressive stats and expressed high praise for the running back. “They’re a great football team,” he said, per Jeff Sversky. “As coaches, we have to dig in and get going. …They’ve got a running back, that, you know is arguably one of the best in the history of the game.”

Mike Kafka may seem like a surprising head coach candidate, but he’s got two big backers in his corner with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes:

Mahomes (3 passing TDs) and Jalen Hurts (4 total TDs) were both at their playmaking best in Super Bowl LVII. This marks the fourth instance of a quarterback rematch in the Super Bowl. Each of the previous three were won by the QB who came out on top in the first game.
