Eagles fans will hear a familiar voice when they tune in to watch the Birds’ playoff game Sunday. Mike Tirico, in his third year as the voice of Sunday Night Football, will be in the booth at the Linc to call the Eagles’ divisional round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams Sunday on NBC.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley called game in Sunday’s divisional round win over the Los Angeles Rams. But before he did, NBC announcers Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth did some pretty on-the-nose game-calling themselves.

Mike Tirico, who had covered the NBA for 15 seasons with ESPN, will serve as play-by-play announcer for NBC's coverage of NBA games.

Let’s go, Orange! S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications graduate Mike Tirico, who called NBA games for ESPN from 2002-16, is returning to NBA coverage as NBC Sports’ lead play-by-play voice, when NBC and Peacock’s coverage of pro hoops tips off this October.

However, he will also call some games while pulling double duty with the NFL during early months the regular season including NBC’s season opener in October. Mike Tirico, who called NBA games ...

Tirico, who joined NBC in 2016, also leads coverage of the network’s NFL, Olympics, and golf programming. He previously worked at ESPN, where NBA play-by-play was one of his responsibilities. NBC will have multiple games per week after the football season ends, so it will have multiple broadcast teams.

Mike Tirico will be on play-by-play. He’ll be joined by Cris Collinsworth, who will be the analyst. Melissa Stark will be reporting from the sidelines. That’s it! Enjoy the game!

Tirico, one of the most prominent sports broadcasters trained at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a member of the university’s Board of Trustees, will be NBC Sports’ lead play-by-play voice when its coverage of the league begins with the 2025-26 season in October.
