YQL (Yahoo Query Language), launched in October 2008, is gaining an “execute” feature that will give developers more control over how their applications get and display Web data.

* GeoPlanet & PlaceSpotter APIs are being retired in Q3, which means developers will need to look for the capabilities from those APIs in Yahoo Query Language and BOSS.
