Both Russia and Ukraine continued long-range strikes through the weekend and into Monday. On Tuesday, Ukraine's air force said Russia launched 59 drones into the country overnight, of which 47 were shot down or suppressed. The air force reported impacts of 12 drones across nine locations.

Estonia's Internal Security Service (ISS) said authorities had found a Ukrainian attack drone that exploded in a farmer's field on their territory, but it blamed Russia for the incursion. Newsweek reached out to the Ukrainian foreign ministry for comment. Any incursion by a drone or missile into the territory of a NATO member will raise alarm.

President Trump said he expects to decide on next steps in two weeks if direct talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky aren’t scheduled.
