Chrysler is having its dealers update the powertrain control module software to help maintain vehicle propulsion free of charge.

Ford also announced it was recalling 24,655 2025 Ford Explorer SUVs due to issues with the powertrain control module, which may reset while driving and damage the park system or cause an engine stall.

Ford is aware of three reported accidents and no injuries related to this condition. The Fix: Dealers will inspect the powertrain control module for diagnostic trouble codes tied to the issue.
