The KDE-powered Vivaldi tablet project has been killed, leaving Ubuntu Touch as our only hope for a Linux-first tablet.

The Linux-based mobile operating system has been successfully ported to the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, in which owners can now play around with Ubuntu on their tablet.

One is the company’s Android-based Volla OS, which is a de-Googled version of Android with a custom user interface. The other is mobile GNU/Linux distribution Ubuntu Touch.
