The Boilermakers struck quickly as Ryan Browne hit a wide-open Nitro Tuggle on a post route through the USC defense for a 33-yard catch-and-run, moving Purdue near the red zone. But two plays later, Browne's pass up the middle was tipped by Devan Thompkins and intercepted by Jamaal Jarrett, who returned it 70 yards for a touchdown.
