Topline Portable Document Format files, or PDFs, are easily presented and exchanged across softwares—even Word—so here’s how to convert a PDF into a Microsoft Word document.
You can insert a PDF into Word via the File, Open menu, which turns the PDF into an editable document, or as a non-editable image.
There are several ways you can convert a PDF file to a Word document, including a method that only takes a few clicks.
Load the document into the HP Officejet 6310. Launch the "HP Digital Imaging" program. Click the "Scan To" button, which will open a list of available programs into which the document may be scanned.

Navigate to the location of your PDF file, select it, and click ‘Open’. A dialog box will appear notifying you that Word will convert the PDF into an editable Word document. Click ‘OK’.
