To install a Linux distro (such as Ubuntu) on Windows 11, use these steps: Open Start. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.

Launch the Ubuntu search experience with the Start button on your keyboard. Search for Ubuntu Software. Click the top result and launch the app. In the search bar on the top left, search for VScode.
