A new study suggests a lack of data for detecting burgeoning flu outbreaks is a “critical blind spot” in the highest poverty neighborhoods.

Also excluded were all zip codes in two counties with low disease prevalence – Piscataquis and Washington – again in an attempt to ensure patent privacy, according the agency’s website.
