Instagram boss Adam Mosseri announced a highly-anticipated update on Threads on Monday, allowing users to delete their account without also losing their Instagram accounts.

Threads will now let you delete your profile, without also deleting your Instagram account. You can choose to either delete or deactivate your profile from Settings.

Users sign up to Threads through an Instagram login. You can deactivate your Threads profile, but in order to delete it, you must delete your Instagram account as well. Image: Meta With Meta ...
