Corsair's K100 Air, in a way, seeks to address both groups. The mechanical keyboard has a small bank of macro keys inside an incredibly thin 0.4-inch (11 mm) thick frame.

Corsair’s K100 is a technologically advanced keyboard with its own SoC, 8,000 Hz polling, opto-mechanical switches, a programmable dial, and a bank of macro keys.

They said it was impossible to make a keyboard with Cherry MX switches and full RGB backlighting. With some fancy engineering tricks, Corsair's K70 keyboard proves them wrong.
