A man who robbed a Newark bank but was caught two days later thanks to surveillance footage which showed a dye pack slipped into his stolen cash exploding was convicted Friday, authorities said.

When a robber demands cash, a bank teller can stick a dye pack into the bag so that it bursts shortly afterwards.
