Although shutting down Windows 11 via the Start menu is straightforward, adding a shutdown shortcut to your desktop or taskbar can make the process even more convenient.

No Taskbar Context Menu, Show Desktop button removed, Cant lock Taskbar, & many such features have been removed from Windows 11 Taskbar.

Microsoft is toying with the idea of replacing the "Show desktop" button in the bottom-right corner of the screen with Copilot. The proposed change is rolling out to Insiders in the Dev Channel.

To show the Windows 11 desktop: Click the Show Desktop button on the rightmost edge of the Windows taskbar. Use the Windows + D keyboard shortcut. Hit those keys again to restore your active windows.
