While Canvas is currently available through Gemini mobile apps, including Android, users can't access all of its capabilities. It now appears that Google is taking steps to change that.

Google built a web app to show off Gemini's coding abilities with Canvas, and you can play around with it while viewing highlights from Google I/O 2025.

Google is letting you doodle within its Chrome browser with a simple app. You can go to Canvas using canvas.apps.chrome and start drawing immediately, as previously reported by Chrome Unboxed.
