Sysadmins, rejoice: PowerShell is coming to Linux. Microsoft announced Thursday that its automation and scripting system is breaking out of the confines of Windows and going open source.

You read it right. As part of its move toward more openness, Microsoft today said its popular and powerful PowerShell command-line scripting language is now open-sourced and available for Linux.

However, cd in PowerShell is slightly different in Bash on Ubuntu. In the WSL environment, your Windows drives are stored in the /mnt folder, and the name of the drive is used as the subfolder.
